No. WiFi Finder is completely account-free. You can browse, add, and vote on WiFi spots without signing up.
Tap the + button on the map screen, search for a business, enter the WiFi network name and password, and submit. Your contribution helps the whole community.
Open the spot details and tap the flag icon to report it. Other users can confirm the report, and the entry will be marked accordingly.
You can upvote or downvote WiFi entries to help others know which passwords are accurate. The highest-voted entry is shown by default.
WiFi Finder uses your location only to show nearby WiFi spots on the map. Your location is not stored or shared with third parties.
You can run a speed test while connected to a WiFi spot and share the results (download, upload, ping) so others know what to expect.
Information We Collect
WiFi Finder does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. The app uses an anonymous device identifier stored locally on your device to enable features like voting and contributions.
Location Data
WiFi Finder requests access to your device's location to display nearby WiFi spots on the map. Your location data is used in real time and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
User Contributions
When you add a WiFi spot, vote, flag, or submit a speed test, that information is stored on our servers to make it available to all users. Contributions are associated with an anonymous device identifier, not with any personal information.
Advertising
WiFi Finder displays ads provided by Google AdMob. On iOS, the app uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to request your permission before using your device's advertising identifier for personalized ads.
